Get ready everyone, it’s back, CMC Rocks the Snowys again in 2009 and it promises a top local and international line up. From March 6-7, Thredbo’s Friday Flat is transformed into a music bowl, performers to the front with a mountain range as the backdrop. Under the sparkling alpine sunshine these hills will certainly be rocking with the sound of music.

“Brilliant”, “fantastic”, “awesome”, “Thredbo - what a beauty”, were just a few of the comments buzzing through the village and country music forums after last years festival.

Reaching out to a diverse crowd, this festival has it all – it mixes late teen and twenty something’s at the front of house, with families and older music lovers blanketing it up on the slopes of Friday Flat.

Following a hugely successful inaugural year, the second year line-up includes one of the hottest sensations on the US charts today, Grammy-nominated country pop artist, Taylor Swift, Canadian Roots Artist of the Year 2008 (for the fifth year in a row), Corb Lund, Joe Nicholls and Old Crow Medicine Show, They will be joined with local chart-topping music artists, Pete Murray, The Waifs, John Williamson, Ian Moss, Ash Grunwald, Steve Forde, The Audreys, The Sunny Cowgirls, Jasmine Rae, Morgan Evans, Amber Lawrence and Jake Nikolai.
