Level: Intermediate
Distance: 35km one way
Style: Flow

The newly opened lower Thredbo Valley Track extension for the more experienced rider adds 15km to the trail from Lake Crackenback to Gaden Trout Hatchery. Note, there are no exit points in this section of the trail.

This is a thrilling new option for adventure riders keen to test their legs on a more challenging, and remote section of this iconic track. The first 3km’s beyond Crackenback is an easy to moderate ride before getting more technical and the landscape more remote.

Packed with challenges including tight switchbacks, high berms, rocky surfaces, and steep gradients it’s a great trail for intermediate and advanced riders.

Looking to ride just one way?

You can organise for a local shuttle service to pick you up and drive you back to Thredbo via Snowy Mountains Shuttles or Snowlink.

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
