Water supply and sewerage

Thredbo's water supply and sewerage overview

Kosciuszko Thredbo is responsible for the supply of treated potable water (including drinking water) to the boundary of individual properties and the draining of sewage away from the boundaries within Thredbo. Any problems within individual buildings and property boundaries are the responsibility of the sub-lessees of the property, not Kosciuszko Thredbo, and queries should be directed in the first instance to the sub-lessee or manager of the property. Any issues associated with the village water reticulation system or the sewer main system should be directed to the Environmental Services Manager. Thredbo's drinking water is ultraviolet light disinfected and is tested on a regular basis to ensure compliance with the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.

In the event of an after hours sewer or water main emergency, the Environmental Services Manager or his representative can be contacted through the Thredbo Alpine Hotel reception by telephoning (02) 6459 4200.

In accordance with the NSW Environment Protection Authority licence for the Thredbo sewerage infrastructure, Kosciuszko Thredbo Pty Ltd makes available to the general public a telephone number that can be used to make a complaint related to the sewerage infrastructure. To report any sewage overflows from the Thredbo system, please contact (02) 6459 4100 and be prepared to describe the incident.
