COVID-19 | Your Thredbo Questions Answered

Thredbo Mountain Bike Park is now closed for the season. Thredbo Leisure Centre is also closed and we expect to re-open for the winter season. The Kosciuszko Express Chairlift remains open for foot passengers only.

We strongly urge all our guests to follow the government directives regarding non-essential travel and social distancing for their own safety and for others.

Essential services within the Thredbo Village remain open.

At this point we are continuing with our plans for our winter 2020 snow season and will keep all guests updated if this changes. If you have pre-booked for this winter, you do not need to do anything just yet. You can be assured you have protection should COVID-19 prevent you from going ahead with your plans for winter – see our COVID-19 Cancellation Policy in the Winter Questions below.

We’ll be updating this page regularly as more information relating to COVID-19 comes to hand, so please continue to check in here.

Health and Safety

To protect our guests, employees and the wider community we’re taking the COVID-19 developments very seriously.

We’re 100% committed to following prescribed COVID-19 protocols in social distancing, cleaning, food handling, food service and handwashing and we’re requiring that our employees stay home in the event of illness.

To keep you safe and healthy while you’re visiting Thredbo we’ve taken these further preventative measures:

  • We’re operating within the Government’s regulations
  • We’ve closed our facilities that are likely to bring groups of people together
  • We’re strictly adhering to social distancing measures. Note, the chairlift is limited to 1 x person per chair, lift line spacing measures have been implemented and hand sanitizer must be applied before loading the chair
  • We’re following stringent best practises in cleaning our resort facilities
  • We’re applying rigorous standards in all our food handling and service
  • We’ve increased the availability of hand sanitizer on site
  • We’re further promoting best practice hygiene etiquette amongst staff and guests
  • We’re requiring staff to stay home if they’re unwell or if they’re under self-isolation requirements
  • We’ve cancelled our upcoming events that would bring groups of people together
