Get ready to shake up the Snowy Mountains! The iconic Thredbo Blues Festival is back and bursting with talent in 2022 with another amazing program of exceptional blues artists sending out tunes over the Snowies in a music festival like no other.

Enjoy 3 huge days filled with the best of the blues, good food and wine and awesome times! With intimate bars and restaurants, spectacular outdoor venues and the whole of Thredbo Village given over to the blues, Thredbo sets the stage for an atmosphere that musicians and blues fans love.

The health and safety of our guests, staff and wider community is our top priority.

The Thredbo Chamber of Commerce will be running this years’ Blues Festival in accordance with NSW Health guidelines and Thredbo Resort’s COVID-19 Operating Plan that has been developed under the advice of NSW Health. In particular, ticket sales have been limited to ensure this is a small event, and all venues will be following current capacity restrictions including the 2m2 rule. Singing and dancing will not be permitted and masks will be required in all indoor venues.

Thredbo is proud to be able to support the music industry that has been particularly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic by delivering this small-scale event that is well within the current COVID-19 restrictions.


Festival Pass

Blues Festival passes are now sold out.

To deliver this event in compliance with NSW Government COVID-19 guidelines and to ensure the health and safety of our staff, guests and the community, we have capped ticket sales for the 2022 Festival.

For guests who have pre-purchased Blues Festival passes, we will be running this event in compliance with our COVID-19 Operating Plan that has been developed under the advice of NSW Health. We will continue to monitor the situation and advise all guests in the case of any changes to the event.

Full Weekend festival passes include free chairlift access from Noon on Friday to 4pm Sunday

To collect your Festival Pass please present your receipt to the Blues Festival Ticket office, from noon on Friday 28 Jan. The ticket office is located in the Kosciuszko Room Foyer, Thredbo Alpine Hotel – adjacent to the Pub & Bistro.

Blues music in Australia just seems to get stronger each year with the number of festivals increasing and the quality of music getting better and better. This is great news for Blues lovers and, of course, Thredbo being one of the longest running Blues festivals in the country, has a high reputation to maintain.

The good news is, we believe we have topped ourselves again for 2022. There’s heaps of great music for the old and bold as well as the young and young at heart. This years line up will see a mix of familiar faces plus a whole bunch of fresh new acts including – Ray Beadle & The Hi Tones, Lloyd Speigel, Fiona Boyes Band, Foreday Riders, Continental Blues Party, 19 Twenty, Simon Kinny Lewis Band, Darren Jack Band, Steve Edmonds, Mitch Grainger, The Sun Bears, Rory Ellis, Nick Charles & Mick Pealing, Mike Elrington, Stewart D’Arrietta, Big Mama & The Hanged Men, Kate Lush Band, Genevieve Chadwick, Michelle van der Meer, CJ Raggatt Band, The Blues Preachers, and Jack Billmann.

Event Program

The Thredbo Blues Festival program is a full weekend of the best of Australian Blues Music. With over 60 performances from more than 20 different acts, the blues soaked tunes will start on Friday afternoon and carry on over the weekend into the early hours of Monday morning.

Blues Dinner at Cascades

Kick on into the evening with smooth tunes, velvety wines and an exquisite meal at Cascades. Let the marvelous melodies drift you into the land of blues, as you indulge in a 3 course meal and a 2 hour beverage package for $129 per person.

Courtesy Bus

The big red bus (Route 3) will be operating from the Info Centre to Friday flat from 8.00am to 5.30pm on the Saturday and Sunday of Thredbo Blues Festival.

A village courtesy bus (Routes 2 & 3) will start at the Information Centre and then proceed around the village servicing Crackenback Ridge, Riverside, Belas Corner, Lantern, Belas Corner, Bobuck Lane and back to Information Centre. The bus will be past each location approximately every 15-20 minutes. Runs 10am – 6pm both Saturday & Sunday.
