How do I get my Ikon Pass for use at Thredbo starting June 2018?

Ikon Pass can be redeemed at any Thredbo Guest Services Office with proof of identification (North American pass holders will receive Ikon Pass in the mail beginning September 2018).

 

When can I use my Ikon Pass at Thredbo?

Once you purchase an Ikon Pass or Ikon Base Pass, it is valid to use at Thredbo throughout the 2018/19 season.

Can the 18/19 Ikon Pass be used at Thredbo during the 2019 Australian Season?

Yes, the 18/19 Ikon Pass can be used at Thredbo during the 2019 season.

 

How do I buy the Ikon Pass in Australia and New Zealand?

The Ikon Pass can be purchased directly at ikonpass.com or through preferred travel partners.

 

What access is available at Thredbo and are there any black-out dates at Thredbo?

Seven days on the Ikon Pass and five days on the Ikon Base Pass are available. Black-out dates on the Ikon Base Pass are July 7-22, 2018. There are no black-out dates on the Ikon Pass.

 

Are there any benefits for Thredbo 365 Pass or Premium Pass holders at Ikon Resorts?

Currently there are no reciprocal benefits for Thredbo 365 Pass or Winter Pass Premium season pass holders at Ikon resorts.

 

Do you have any international destinations on the Ikon Pass?

Yes. Six destinations are available outside of the United States across Canada and Australia. In Canada, ski and ride Tremblant (Quebec), Blue Mountain (Ontario), Ski Big3 (Alberta), Revelstoke Resort and CMH (British Columbia), plus Thredbo in NSW, Australia.

 

What is the difference between an Ikon Pass and an Ikon Base Pass?

Ikon Pass is the pass with the most days and the least restrictions as there are no blackout days during the season. Ikon Base Pass offers the best value with limited restriction and blackout dates.

  • Ikon Pass:
    • Unlimited Access Resorts: Steamboat, Winter Park Resort, Copper Mountain Resort, Eldora Mountain Resort, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, Mammoth Mountain, Big Bear Mountain Resort, June Mountain, Stratton, Snowshoe Mountain, Tremblant, and Blue Mountain
    • 7 days at each: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Big Sky Resort, Revelstoke Mountain Resort, Killington Resort, Sugarbush Resort, Deer Valley Resort and Thredbo
    • 7 days combined at each of the following destinations
      • Aspen Snowmass: Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk
      • AltaSnowbird
      • Loon Mountain, Sugarloaf and Sunday River
      • SkiBig3: Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise and Mt. Norquay
    • Ikon Base Pass:

What are the blackout dates for the Ikon Base Pass?

The Ikon Base Pass blackout dates apply during the following dates at the following resort during the 2018/2019 season:

  • Aspen Snowmass, Steamboat, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, Mammoth Mountain, June Mountain, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Big Sky Resort, Stratton, Killington Resort, SkiBig3, Revelstoke Mountain Resort, Sunday River, Sugarloaf Resort, Loon Mountain, Deer Valley Resort, AltaSnowbird, Sugarbush Resort: Dec. 26 – 31, 2018; Jan. 19 – 20, 2019; Feb. 16 – 17, 2019
  • Thredbo: July – 7 – 22 2018

 

How much does the Ikon Passes cost?

Do Student and Military discounts apply to those outside of North America?

No, these discounts only apply to students and members of the military in North America.

 

What does it mean when it says I receive 5 or 7 days combined at a destination?

You receive 5 or 7 days combined at each of the following destinations:

  • Aspen Snowmass: Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk
  • AltaSnowbird
  • Loon Mountain, Sugarloaf, Sunday River
  • SkiBig3 Banff Sunshine Village, Lake Louise and Mt. Norquay

The pass does not allow 5 or 7 days at each mountain i.e. 5 or 7 days at Aspen Mountain and 5 or 7 days at Snowmass, only a combined 5 or 7 days at these destinations

Can I transfer days from one destination to another?

No, days are not transferable from one destination to another

 

Can I transfer days from my Ikon Pass to anyone?

No, days are not transferable from one pass holder to another. Only the Ikon Pass holder can use the pass. If the pass holder is injured or otherwise cannot utilise the Pass, the Pass is still non-transferable, nor is it refundable without Pass Protection.

 

Do I have to use the days consecutively or can I split them up over the season?

You do not have to use the days consecutively.

 

If I am an Ikon Pass holder outside of North America, do I need to contact the destination before I arrive?

No, once you have purchased your Ikon Pass and received your confirmation by email, your order is automatically in the system and will be ready for pick-up at any destination, including Thredbo.

What if I have forgotten my Ikon Pass?

There may be a fee for replacing a forgotten Pass, fees may vary by destination. Please visit a ticket window or season pass office at the destination you are visiting for more information.

 

Will the Mountain Collective be available for Winter 2018/2019?

Yes, the Mountain Collective will still be available for winter 2018-2019. However the Mountain Collective is not an Alterra Mountain Company product. For more information, please visit mountaincollective.com.

 

Can I use Gift Cards, Resort Credit, or PassCash to buy my Ikon Pass?

No, the Ikon Pass is only available to purchase with a debit or credit pass. The Ikon Pass can only be purchased directly at ikonpass.com or through a preferred travel partners.

 

Is there a Cancellation policy?

No, your Ikon Pass purchase may not be cancelled. The Ikon Pass is non-refundable and non-transferable. Pass protection is available to purchase.
