Great early season snow conditions on the open trails. The groomed trails were the go, as the snow did get heavy going as the day progressed. Snowmaking is set to fire back up as conditions allow.
It was alot of fun out there today – the morning was the highlight. More advanced lapped the long groomed High Noon, it was the groomers tip, early season conditions at the bottom of the run out. Friday Flat was soft and forgiving for easy first timer turns. Intermediates enjoyed the variety of open trails around the Cruiser area – Walkabout and Ballroom the favourites. The mini jib park was fun for the little shredders. The mountain crew will look at opening up more terrain as the week progresses.
There is a beginner jib park set-up at the top of the Cruiser with a ride on box, roller, ride on box, ride on down box. Work has begun on the new look Cruiser Park at Easy Rider.
Walkabout, Ballroom, Easy Does It, Valley View, Squatters Run, lower Playground and High Noon.
5 lifts are expected to open tomorrow. Easy Does It on Friday Flat for skiing and boarding, and The Cruiser with access via Gunbarrel Express and Merritts Chairlift. Kosciuszko Express Chairlift is also open 9.00am – 4.00pm for sightseeing only. Check thredbo.com.au for up to date lift status.

The mountain is glistening all covered in white, it is definitely a skiers and boarders delight. Mother Nature has really been working overtime, with all the runs that are open are in their prime.
