Battle On The Bluff: Our Premier Freeride Showdown Returns!

Yep, that’s right – Thredbo’s most exhilarating freeride competition is back. Battle On The Bluff 2025, presented by Flip Insurance, is set to ignite the slopes on Monday, August 11.

This high-stakes ski and snowboard competition unfolds on Thredbo’s legendary freeride terrain, The Bluff, renowned for its challenging drops and dynamic wind lips. The Bluff, is the ultimate stage for riders to showcase their skills, style and bravado.

“Battle On The Bluff gives riders the platform to put down creative and unique lines that would rarely be seen outside of competition format,” says Thredbo Events Manager, Sam Noller. “With demanding terrain and a huge $25k prize pool on the line, this event is electric for competitors and spectators alike.”

What To Expect

As Australia’s premiere freeride competition, Battle On The Bluff offers:

Event Details

The Battle On The Bluff is judged across two runs, best run counts. Competitors will drop in bib order and be judged on; difficulty of line, control, fluidity, jumps, and technique!
