Water, Waste & Recycling
Thredbo is responsible for water supply, waste removal, recycling and sewage, in addition to Road & Transport maintenance. In order to keep Thredbo and its surrounding environment as pristine as possible, please check the below maps and guidelines for everything you need to know to keep Thredbo clean.
Recycling & Waste Disposal

Waste Collection
Thredbo is responsible for the collection of waste from the enclosures located outside each property. The pick up days work on a roster system, with each property being serviced between 3 and 7 times per week (depending upon the size and use of the premises).
Please understand that the Environmental Services department is also responsible for snow clearing and during extreme weather events there may be a collection delay.
General waste should be secured in plastic waste bags weighing no more than 10 kg. Loose waste in the enclosures will not be collected. It is the property ownersโ responsibility to keep the waste enclosure in a clean and serviceable state.

Water Monitoring

Potable Water
In order to ensure the high quality of the water supplied to you we regularly send it for testing at NSW government recognised health laboratories.

Sewerage Effluent
At the other end of the system we also monitor the quality of the water we are putting back into the environment, regularly sending if for sampling at EPA recognised health laboratories. Our results show we consistently outperform our environmental requirements.
