Thredbo is Australia’s Best Ski Resort, taking out the prestigious award from the World Ski Awards for four years running. Thredbo boasts a huge amount of snow terrain for all ages and abilities, a range of amazing lessons and programs to help you get your snow feet, plus tons of events and activities to enjoy. What’s really unique about Thredbo is its beautiful vibrant village right at the base of the mountain with a range accommodation, restaurants, bars, cafes and retail shops so that you’ll stay entertained both on and off the mountain.

Accommodation
Accommodation in Thredbo offers stunning mountain views, convenience and comfort for all guests.
You can choose from lodges, hotels, on-snow chalets, luxurious apartments and self contained units.
Everything is within easy walking distance or a quick free shuttle bus to the base of the mountain.
Winter Passes
Looking to ski or snowboard this winter? Our winter season runs from June long weekend until October long weekend.
We plan to release the following winter 2021 lift passes:
- Thredbo Winter 2021 Season Passes in late March
(No payment plan available) - Thredbo Winter 2021 Lift Passes in April
Lessons & Programs
Ski and snowboard lessons from Thredbo’s outstanding team of instructors provide the best possible opportunity to learn or improve your skills, build confidence on the mountain and access lift line priority.

Merritts Gondola
Introducing Australia’s only alpine gondola!
The all new, state-of-the-art Merritts Gondola takes you from the Village to the base of the Cruiser Area in approximately 6 minutes.
The Mountain
Thredbo’s terrain is perfect for all ages and abilities. Beginners will love the purpose built area designed for skill progression in a safe environment. Intermediates can enjoy Australia’s longest runs and the wide variety of terrain on offer. Advanced skiers and snowboarders will find endless on and off piste challenges, powder bowls and natural features.
The Village
Thredbo Village is truly one of a kind. Located at the base of the mountain, everything you need is located within a short walking distance, offering a great range of lodges, bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. When the sun goes down, the village transforms into a vibrant alpine environment like no other with live music, festivities and stunning sights to enjoy with family and friends.
How To Get To Thredbo
Not quite sure how to get to Thredbo? Don’t stress…it’s easy. Thredbo is located roughly 6 hours’ drive from either Sydney or Melbourne and can be conveniently accessed via car, bus or plane.
