Thredbo is stoked to host a fun, progressive day of skiing and snowboarding designed to develop the next generation of superstar shredders.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION – LOCATION CHANGE:
The Project Shred event site has moved from Friday Flat to the Ballroom, located just above the Merritts Gondola Top Station in the Cruiser Area. While the venue has changed, it remains a hike park event, accessible by foot.
Throughout the day, participants will receive expert coaching from some of Australia’s best skiers and snowboarders, pick up new tricks and techniques, and enjoy a stacked line-up of fun on-snow activities.
To ensure smooth access:

All registered participants receive complimentary access to the Merritts Gondola – simply register online and ensure the participant has a valid MyThredbo Card to ride the Gondola.

Parents and guardians can access a 50% off a Merritts Scenic Gondola Pass when registering their child online or by visiting the Guest Services counter at Friday Flat or Valley Terminal on the day.

Participants can also purchase a discounted Project Shred Competitor Pass to access all chairlifts, T-Bars, or Snow runners on the day – however, this is not required if only accessing the event site by foot.

9:15am: Meet & Greet the awesome coaches at the custom built Mini Park at Ballroom
9:30am: Progression Session 1 | Learn some trick tips from your favourite coach
10:30am: Progression Session 2 | Switch up your station and try out your skills on a new feature
11:30am: BBQ Lunch
12pm: T-Shirt collection
12:30pm: Shred Session | Dial in those tricks and progress to bigger features as you lap the park with your favourite coaches
FAQs
Complimentary Merritts Gondola access is included in the participant registration, allowing access to the custom Mini Park at Ballroom. You will need to purchase a My Thredbo Card online or at Guests Services to load lift access.
Please note that the complimentary pass with participant registration is only valid for the Merritts Gondola.
Participants can also purchase a discounted Project Shred Competitor Pass to access chairlifts, T-Bars or Snowrunners — but this is not required to attend the event by foot.
