If you woke up in Thredbo this morning and thought you were dreaming – you’re not alone. More than 30cm of fresh snow fell overnight, transforming the village into a true winter wonderland and setting the resort up for an absolutely unforgettable weekend in the mountains.
This early-season storm didn’t hold back. Heavy snowfall, blizzard conditions, and strong winds blanketed the entire resort, creating some of the deepest June conditions we’ve seen in years. For skiers and snowboarders, it was the kind of day we all dream about… classic powder turns, fresh lines, and that soft, deep snow that makes every run feel like magic.
The Best Turns Of The Season – Already?
With mountain operations working hard to open even more lifts and terrain, guests were treated to an early taste of what promises to be an incredible weekend ahead and July school holiday period. Riders hit the slopes early, carving through fresh snow and soaking in what many are calling the best turns of the season so far… and it’s only June.
