Kids Snow Festival

School holidays are the most exciting thing about being a kid. Two weeks of bliss where you get to ditch the classroom and your Mum’s glad wrapped sandwiches, stay up late and sleep in when you want, and spend time playing with your friends and family, rather then sitting in a that ‘favourite’ maths class you have on a Friday afternoon.

School holidays are the most exciting thing about being a kid, we can agree on that, but for some parents the idea of school holidays can be slightly daunting and that’s why here at Thredbo we’ve turned school holidays into snow holidays, with two weeks jam packed full of activities and events for both kids and parents to enjoy.

Introducing the Kids Snow Festival! A school holiday with a difference…not only can we provide kids with more than one good excuse to ditch the classroom, but it’s the perfect time for parents to ditch the stress of the city too. Less people, more activities, fresh air and a time to get the kids off their screens and plugged into the amazing outdoor conditions that Thredbo has to offer.

There’s a lot happening. On the 7^th and 14^th of July ‘My Friend Mark and the Thredbo Animals’ will be putting on a show in a sing-along styled performance for all kids to join in on, followed by the exclusive flare run down Friday Flat where afterwards you can sit back and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display under the alpine night sky. The Torah Bright Mini Shred is definitely not one to miss for mini-shredders under the age of 18. It’s all happening on July the 10th at the Torah Bright Mini Park located on Friday Flat. On the day you can expect a relaxed and friendly environment, make new shred buddies, enjoy a sausage sizzle and ride alongside some of the best snowboarders in the world. Make sure everyone is in bed early for this epic day…it’s going to be a big one!

There’s Twilight Riding nights until 7pm on Friday Flat, where parents can have a beverage around the fire while the kids have fun under the lights and it doesn’t stop there; we have Treasure Hunts, Movie and Pizza Nights, Twilight Tubing, Snow Biking, and even painting with our very own Thredbo Animals!
