Another Cruiser of a Week

Conditions on the mountain have been epic with bright blue skies and light winds most days, with wind and cloud only increasing on the weekend.

Our mountain crew have been working their magic each night making sure that the slopes were in tip top shape for the day ahead. The snow machines have been churning out tonnes of fresh cover before being groomed out by our legendary cat drivers.

Friday Flat and the Beginners Bowl have been a hub of activity with first timers getting comfortable on the slopes. The Burrow and Wombat’s Snowrunner opened up late in the week allowing the learners to spread their wings down Giddy Up. From groms to grandparents, the smile on their faces is just proof that they’ve been bitten by the snow bug.

More seasoned riders have been tearing down the steeper slopes of High Noon, while the Cruiser area has been the go to for some fun flowing turns. Park rats have been loving the rail set up through the Cruiser Terrain Park, with even the youngsters hitting some mellow boxes up the top.

As the sun dropped behind the mountain each afternoon, a few worn out riders were even spotted catching some R and R in the spa at the Alpine Hotel with a much needed drink in hand.

Those who didn’t get their fix during the day were able to show off their skills at the opening party of the Skate Night at the Keller Bar on Thursday night. Skaters were throwing down and drinks were going round before the Vee Bee’s jumped on the stage and rocked the night away.

Next weekend there’s lots to look forward to! First Base, Australia’s hottest DJ duo are putting on a party by Poolside on Saturday July 1st for everyone to indulge in some much needed après after a big day of skiing and snowboarding. School holidays also kick off next weekend and we’ve partnered with LEGO to put on a fun filled two weeks jammed with tonnes of activities and entertainment the whole family can enjoy.
