Racer ready…the countdown 5 to 1 of another huge week of fun

It was a busy week in Thredbo this week – here’s the weekly 5 to 1 of the week’s best fun:

5) Interschools Race week
Racer ready… we’ve had the Travelplan Sydney Interschools Snowsports Championships, hosting some of the best young guns on the slopes in Skiercross, Ridercross, Moguls and Alpine races throughout the week. Don’t be fooled by their school age, these shredders showed the rest of us what “getting an edge” really means.

4) Another huge week of LEGO lovin!
It was the last week of the LEGO Friends Snow Festival and there were little LEGO lovers all over the mountain getting amongst the Snow Hunt as well as getting their creative hats on at the Play Zone in the village.

3) Kids, smiles & colourful lights
There were kids with flares and smiles to share at the Kids Flare run down Friday Flat. The last Kids Flare run was truly magic, with colourful lights, lots of laughter and some awesome little groms nailing their turns down the gentle slope, even in the dark. It’s always great to see so many kids out there giving it a go.

2) A cold shower.
You always feel better after a hot shower, but even better after a (freezing cold) snowwwww showwerrrr! This week kicked off with some awesome fresh snow on Sunday and Monday, giving us over 10cm of fresh fluffy white stuff to play around in. Monday and Tuesday were awesome days on the mountain and we were definitely out there to #ShareTheStoke

1) THE WEEKEND.
When is the weekend NOT the best part of the week? But seriously, this weekend was shredddinnn’ with some of the best conditions we’ve seen yet this season when the clouds unexpectedly cleared . After a fresh dusting of snow on Friday night, there were some gnarly pockets of windblown powder up the top to have some fun in, and we had even more terrain open with the Basin T-Bar making its debut on a blue-sky Saturday – what a treat!
