Thredbo Mountain Bike Park is OPEN!

Anndddddd we’re off! Thredbo Mountain Bike Park opened it’s gates to hundreds of frothing mountain bikers across the weekend just past for the official opening weekend of the 17/18 mountain biking season in Thredbo.

The Thredbo Mountain Bike Crew put in solid hours over the past few weeks to make sure that the trails were in the best shape they’ve ever been…and by the reaction of the non-stop stoke from the riders over the weekend…they are rockin’ and a rollin’.

On Saturday morning, riders were greeted with wet and overcast conditions for opening day, however that did not put a stop to any of them getting in their first laps for the 17/18 season. Riders we’re covered in mud from head to toe after a big day on the trails but you couldn’t wipe the smiles of stoke of any of their faces!

On Sunday, all riders we’re blessed with amazing conditions for mountain biking consisting of sun, blue skies and perfect ‘tacky’ conditions to hit the trails hard all day. From Grommets to Grandmas, everyone was out enjoying the incredible day and the even better trail network on offer.

Thredbo this season has over 30km’s of downhill, flow and all-mountain trails to enjoy, providing riders of all ages and abilities with something different as opposed to last season. This year’s trail crew have put in a massive effort to continually change up the dynamics of each trail with fun and new exciting features.
