Uni Week: 5 days of Party, Powder & More Party.

Uni Week. On fleek. The uni students came. They partied. They punched some sweet powder. They partied some more. Did we mention the partying? From July 16 – 21 Thredbo was the place to be as Uni students from everywhere flocked.

The opening night party at the Keller Bar went off – Indian Summer and Go Freek featured and they pumped some ravin’ tunes as a bunch of bad sweaters made the their way around the dancefloor.

As for the powder…in typical form, the uni students had all the good luck) and nailed their timing (as if all those holidays aren’t enough), the clouds opened and absolutely DUMPED down this week with over 30cm of fresh powdery snow to muck around in. It would seem that shredding it on the DF correlates positively with shredding on the mountain, as there were plenty of stoked students out there catching first lifts to make fresh tracks in the white stuff.

What’s better than a party in the snow? A poolside party in the snow. And that’s exactly how the week wrapped up: it was puking with fluffly fresh snow as the poolside closing party at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel got pumping thanks to tunes courtesy of the world-famous Yolanda Be Cool.

All in all – it was a week to remember (or maybe not for some – but I can tell you now that if you were here for Uni Week 2017, you had a rad time 😉 #ShareTheStoke
