Backcountry Adventures…Escape the Resort for a Day!

In some exciting news, Thredbo is introducing the all new ‘Backcountry Adventures’ program supported by The North Face this winter. Backcountry skiing and snowboarding is all the rage at the moment and now you have the ability to go on a professionally guided tour to 6 destinations of your choosing to experience what the Australian Main Range has to offer.

If you are feeling like a day off from the resort and are the type of person with a bit of adventure in your belly, this is a must do for you this winter! The ultimate winter escape…

Catering to both skiers and snowboarders, you can go on a tour to the very top of the iconic Mt Kosciuszko or tackle the famous Twin Valley peaks plus everything in between.

Backcountry might not spring to your mind as something Australia has to offer, however don’t be fooled, there is some incredible terrain and snow to be found…you just need to know the right spots to hit and that’s what the Backcountry Adventures program is designed to do…get you to the goods for maximum stoke and enjoyment!

If it’s your first time venturing into the backcountry or your a seasoned pro, there’s a backcountry tour designed to cater to all types of abilities and skill levels. The green, blue and black tours all provide guests with the knowledge, skills and safety one needs when touring in the backcountry as well as tips on how to ride terrain outside of the resort.
