Easter Long Weekend in Thredbo!

This Easter, the mountains are action packed with events, activities, live entertainment, adventures and the iconic $10,000 Golden Easter Egg Hunt! Thredbo has lots planned for the long weekend, with an experience for everyone to enjoy.

The main highlight for the Easter long weekend is Thredbo’s Golden Easter Egg Hunt by Lindt on Sunday April 1. Six very special, golden Easter eggs are hidden across the Friday Flat slope area for guests to find. Everyone has the opportunity to go hunting for the special eggs…there’s a jackpot golden egg worth $5,000 and five other golden eggs worth $1,000 each! From Friday all the way through to Monday, Thredbo has a massive line-up of activities and events to enjoy. Hit the mountain bike trails, go for a mountain hike, get creative at the arts & crafts sessions, ride the bookworm boat or even try stand up paddle boarding in the Snowy Mountains!

Across the entire Easter Long Weekend, the incredible Lake Light Sculpture Event is happening in Jindabyne. Lake Light is an inspiring outdoor sculpture exhibition that’s held on the stunning foreshore of Lake Jindabyne each year. The event runs from 30th March to 2nd April 2018 and is a must check out if your in the Snowy Mountains region.

One of the coolest features of the event is that the sculptures are lit from sunset to 10:00pm each evening. Artists embed lighting, reflection and optical tricks into their sculptures to play on the light of Easter’s full moon. The effect is dramatic, transforming the already interesting sculptures and revealing hidden elements…an amazing experience to check out.
