Funky and Fresh Fun all Weekend!

Mother Nature has been putting it on for the weekend warriors as of late! This weekend just past was another one for the books, filled with freshies, funky après as well as some wind, offering skiers and boarders plenty of windblown stashes to shred all weekend long.

On Friday evening, the first storm of a promising system rolled in and overnight delivered 15cm of fresh snow up high! Come Saturday morning…Antons, Bushranger and The Bluff were the pick of the day, with windblown refills to be had on each run…stoked! It was all about the ladies on Saturday as Rossignol hosted their annual Ladies Day, where all ladies learnt new skills, technique, tested demo gear and enjoyed some well earned après at Kareela Hutte.

Saturday afternoon meant it was time to party with First Base hosting another Vintage Après Soirée with the funk man himself, Touch Sensitive! It was a huge night of slappin’ da bass and dropping beats behind the decks, making it one of the biggest and best après events of the winter…a huge ups to everyone who came dressed in their retro best…amazing!

On Sunday, the clouds cleared and it made for a great day of riding in the protected areas with the winds coming up overnight, delivering more fresh snow goodness from the Main Range. Bushranger and Friday Flat were where you wanted to be, offering shelter from the weather and windblown stashes perfect for a Sunday shred.
