Weekend Wrap: Blue Skies, Backcountry and Village Concert Bangers….

Yes to the weekend! It was non-stop good vibes and adventures all weekend long…
Mother Nature took a break from delivering snowfall after snowfall (we’re sitting at a 220cm base now!) and delivered blue skies and good vibes.
The Backcountry Tours supported by The North Face are now in full effect, with incredible conditions, it made for a great weekend to hit one of the six tours on offer! First time backcountry goers all the way through to seasoned pro’s hit the tours and scored freshies, long lines and unbeatable views from the top of Australia. Weekend goals…TICK!
Saturday was non-stop good vibes with blue skies most of the day, it made for the perfect sunny shred day! Early morning the groomers were a corduroy carvers delight and the afternoon delivered fun turns and hot laps in the newly built Antons terrain park.
It was all about après come Saturday afternoon! Heineken Saturdays put on another massive Village Concert with Michelle Owen, Kinder Sounds and Tigerlily pumping the beats and shaking the village all night! From families to mates, everyone enjoyed the free concert… the perfect way to wrap up a sunny Saturday shred day.
Sunday, the clouds rolled in but that didn’t stop the weekend warriors for getting the fix of turns down Australia’s longest and widest runs! The Supertrail was the pick of the day, offering plenty of stoke for all skiers and snowboarders…plus the backcountry tours also put on some great skiing and boarding…turns for days!
It looks like there’s more snow in the forecast for this week…keep those snow dances up and fingers crossed…wooo!
