25cm of Fresh Snow & Flexi Pass Sale
Posted on 27 May, 2019
A vigorous cold front has moved across Thredbo delivering 25cm of fresh snow and blizzard conditions to the resort, perfectly timed for the official start of the season June 8.
Since the system arrived in the early hours of Monday morning, around 25cm’s of snow has fallen on the mountain!
Very cold temperatures saw snowmaking fire up overnight complementing the natural falls. The outlook is for very cold temperatures right throughout the week so the mountain team anticipate a solid week of snowmaking.
Weather forecasters say we can expect the next rush of cold air late Tuesday, with anything up to 40cm’s likely to fall through to Friday.
“This is a great snowfall, with just under two weeks out from the start of the 2019 season. With more snow expected this week and Thredbo’s ability to complement this with snowmaking, we are very excited for the season ahead” said Stuart Diver Thredbo Resort Operations Manager.
To celebrate the snow, Thredbo kicked off the Flexi Pass sale today, giving skiers and boarders the freedom and flexibility to choose any four to eight days of the season to hit the slopes. You get to pick the best days to ride Australia’s longest runs on the best pow day or the sunniest blue birds. The passes start from $480 for adults and $276 for the kids with savings up to $312. The Flexi Pass is available at HERE! Sale extended – get in quick as the offer ends midnight Sunday 2 June, 2019.
