Snow Report | More Snow in the Forecast…

Posted on 17 Jul, 2019

It has been an incredible week here in Thredbo, with the Polar Express delivering a total of 85cm of fresh snowfall across the mountain.

The massive snowfalls have topped up the slopes and we’ve been able to open even more terrain for skiers and snowboarders to explore.

We’ve seen the opening of the Basin T-Bar, Karels T-Bar and there is the possibility of Sponars opening just in time for the weekend, which will mean we will have 100% of our lifts operating.

We are also seeing much cooler temps this week, which could see some more mega nights of snowmaking.

Snow flurries are expected to continue throughout this week, with a burst forecast for later today, which will see 5-10cms of snow top up the slopes.

Heading into the weekend that sunshine is set to return with blue skies and a lot’s of terrain to explore.

The good news keeps coming with a third front expected to bring a light dusting of snow on Sunday before another front hits Wednesday bringing a mixed bag of weather.

It’s looking like an incredible week of skiing and snowboarding ahead. With more snow on the way and that sunshine set to return, come down and get stoked, conditions are amazing.
