Après Report | Sending off the season in style

Australia’s Après capital did not disappoint this season; we’ve had some unbelievable days of riding and groovy nights, but we aren’t finished yet.  Join us for a final huge weekend of skiing, boarding, après and more.

Our September Kids Snow Festival is in full swing, with plenty of free activities, it’s the perfect way to get out and explore the mountain. After a long day of following the kids around, mum and dad can kick back and relax for some après drinks at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel Lounge Bar open from 2pm.

Make sure to get involved in the Oktoberfest celebrations over the entire long weekend! On Saturday 5 October, don’t forget your dirndls and lederhosen’s and feast your way through the Bavarian Long Lunch at the local pub for Australia’s highest Oktoberfest. Sip on some German beers while listening to live entertainment. Have a competitive side? Try your luck in the stein hoist, brat toss and yodeling competition. Don’t forget to try grabbing the prize for best costume.

The celebrations don’t stop there. On Sunday 6 October change your jackets for cossies as spring is officially here! Join us for the annual Thredbo Pond Skim, what better way to send off the season then having a party in the pond, with prizes awarded for best dressed style and making it across the pond (if you can).

Join us for the after party and more Oktoberfest celebrations at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel from 2:30pm. Come end the season with a bang, with live entertainment, plenty of steins and good vibes. Everyone is welcome (in lederhosen’s and Dirndl’s) with open arms. PROST!
