Weekly Wrap: Sunshine, snowmaking and good times

The weather gods were kind this week, with a streak of bluebird days, snowmaking, and a lot of school holiday fun.

Kids were running Thredbo, with the start of the school holiday season in full swing. After a long day on the slopes, families and little snow bunnies were spoilt for choice, with an abundance of fun activities to choose from. From kids flare runs, to smores galore, there were big smiles all round.

We had low overnight temperatures this week, which meant our mountain crew were hard at work firing up the snow machines and topping up our mountain, with skiers enjoying smooth runs down the mountain.

There was fun for all levels, with those more advanced skiers heading over to our famous long Supertrail, and exploring High Noon. Blue run riders lapped the mix of tree-lined trails at the Cruiser areas, and Friday Flat was the perfect place for those beginners and little snow bunnies to practice their turns.

Jibbers were in heaven, with a variety of new features added throughout the week, in the lead up to Rail Jam.

Friday had shredders of all shapes and sizes giving it their all at the Thredbo’s Snow Series – Rails. From the grommets to the seasoned snowboarders and skiers, there was no shortage of stoke.

The fun didn’t stop there with the weekend taking it to a whole new level. Party animals headed straight from the slopes to The Alpine Bar at The Thredbo Alpine Hotel to dance the night away at Frist Base: A Vintage Après soiree.

The night took off, with super sensation Owl eyes headlining, and dynamic duo Tom Tilley and Flight Facilities Hugo Gruzman giving the crowd a night they definitely wont forget.
