Summer holidays are upon us and we’ve got you covered with a wide range of activities to keep the whole family entertained over the festive period!

Explore Thredbo’s Mountain Bike Trails

Thredbo’s the ultimate adventure playground with plenty of space to let the kids run free over the holidays.

Offering the only summer long chairlift access in the country, Thredbo is a mountain bike mecca with more than 34-kilometres of trails to explore and something for all abilities.

If you don’t have your own bikes, Thredbo Rental has an extensive range of cross-country, e-bikes and kids bikes to choose from as well as helmets to rent. Those new to riding can take advantage of lessons with Thredbo’s qualified mountain bike instructors on hand to give riders the tools and confidence to tackle the mountain. This year there’s also school holiday camps on offer to provide kids with a fun and supportive environment to learn to ride over five days.

Take A Hike!

From bikes to boots.. this summer explore the magic of alpine Australia by foot with more than 20 different walks and hikes to choose from. For the ultimate family adventure there’s even the opportunity to hike to Mt Kosciuszko where you’ll take in incredible views from the top of Australia!

Try A New Activity The Kids Will Love

The family friendly activities don’t stop there… Enjoy a round of golf at Australia’s highest golf course, or try disc golf, one of the fastest growing and most accessible sports in the world. For a unique experience there’s also Thredbo’s Alpine Bobsled where you’ll have fun riding along a 700 metre trail as it twists and turns down the mountain!

If the kids still have energy to burn, the Thredbo Leisure Centre has a gym, pool, sports hall and squash court centrally located in the village.

Have Lunch At Australia’s Highest Restaurant

During the day, take the chairlift up the mountain to enjoy lunch and an iced chocolate from Australia’s highest restaurant Eagles Nest with spectacular views of the Snowy Mountains. In the evenings the picturesque alpine village comes alive with a great range of restaurants, cafes and shops to explore.
