Supertrail is OPEN!

What a week! Coming off the back of the 20cm of snow that fell last weekend, we’re stoked to have opened a range of terrain ready for riding, including Thredbo’s iconic Supertrail!

Skiers and snowboarders now can access the longest run and Australia’s highest lifted point by riding up to Karel’s T-Bar, ringing the bell, and then enjoying an incredible leg burner down the groomed Supertrail and Village Trail.

The excitement doesn’t stop there with the opening of the Snowgums double chairlift, bringing our lift count to 12 open out of 14!

We have also had a HUGE week of snowmaking, with over 145 snow guns firing each night since Sunday.

This has allowed us to open up a range of untouched terrain for all abilities.

Waimea, Michael’s Mistake, Kareela Cross, the Bluff, Merritts Falls, Catwalk, Eagles Way, and Eagles Crest are just some of the slopes that opened for shredders this week.

Advanced riders have spent the week relishing in the chalky dry snow around the Anton’s T-bar and the off-piste terrain of the Bluff and Kareela Cross.

Intermediate shredders have enjoyed exploring the Basin area, with Franks face forking out some big wind drifts.

The Cruiser area has been the pick for beginners, with playful laps down Squatters Run providing some magic through the trees.

First-timers loved experiencing that fresh snow feeling at the start of the week after the storm and have since enjoyed the forgiving snow on Friday Flat.

Sunshine and low winds have meant this week there have been stokes and smiles all round!
