Heli Time?! Thredbo’s Vertical Metres Challenge Could Take You Heli-Skiing in Canada

Posted on 29 Jun, 2022

Think you’ve got what it takes?

This winter, Thredbo Resort is bringing back the Vertical Metres Challenge, giving riders the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime heli-skiing experience in Kootenay, Canada thanks to CMH Heli-Skiing, Travelplan Ski and Air Canada.

To be in the running, skiers and snowboarders must clock over 5000 vertical metres on the mountain in one day throughout winter. Metres are automatically recorded on your lift pass, and yes, each day that you hit the 5000-metre mark equals an additional entry.

To put it into perspective, 5000 metres is about 11 laps on the Kosciuszko Express. So what are you waiting for? Get out there!

The prize includes:

  • Two return Air Canada economy flights to Kelowna Airport (departing between 1 – 27 February 2023)
  • 5 nights of accommodation at the Kootenay CMH Lodge
  • All meals, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages included
  • Use of specially designed Heli-Skis and Snowboards, and a CMH guest pack including radio, shovel and probe.

Authorised under NSW Permit No. NTP/04322, ACT TP22/01142, & SA Licence No. T22/906. Full Terms & Conditions
