Kicking Off Spring With One Of Thredbo’s Biggest Weekends Ever

The first weekend of Spring was an absolute cracker with non-stop events running all weekend.
It all kicked off on Friday as Thredbo and Monster Energy teamed up to present the first ever Bush Doof, a two-day snowboarding and party event hosted by Olympian Tess Coady.
Bush Doof started on the mountain with a high-energy Rail Jam. The sun was shining and there was a massive spectator turn-out to watch a range of the world’s best snowboarders battle it out on the rails.
After an impressive battle, it was Mia Brookes and Truth Smith who won their respective divisions with Zoi Sadowski-Synnott and Darcy Sharpe both winning Best Trick.
After the Rail Jam, the Bush Doof moved its way down to the Alpine Bar for a pumping after party with a DJ set from North East Party House.
On Saturday, day two of Bush Doof saw the pros turn out to ride with guests and show them how it was done at the Monster Energy Terrain Park.
And the jam-packed weekend wasn’t finished yet! Saturday night saw Thredbo host it’s biggest ever First Base après ski party. Presented by Canadian Club, it was the third and final First Base of the season, with record numbers turning out to have a boogie and see The Jungle Giants hit the decks.
