Celebrating the start of winter… Thredbo style!
We may not have been skiing or snowboarding from day one but that didn’t put a stop to the Opening Weekend fun!
Our Olympic Ambassador crew was in town all weekend with Valentino Guseli, Tess Coady and Jarryd Hughes saying hello, signing posters & taking selfies with guests across the resort.
We checked out the new Italian-style menu at Eagles Nest… Pizza and Aperol spritz at Australia’s Highest Restaurant went down a treat!
The family fun was non-stop in the village… From face painting to Lindt Chocolate s’mores, ice sculpting by Kenji, Giant Games and a visit from the iconic Thredboland animals, the kids were entertained all day long!
As the day progressed, the good vibes kept growing! Heineken Saturday ft. Kinder Sounds took over the Alpine Bar for our first après event of the season.
Dancing, fireworks and next-level tunes… It was truly a night to remember!

On Sunday, the celebrations continued at the iconic G.H. Mumm Long Lunch. Guests gathered in the village square to watch the tap tap and enjoy canapes with a glass of G.H. Mumm before moving inside for a beautiful custom lunch from our executive chef.
With a Pirate Life Deck Session on the Merritts Deck, Sunday Session presented by Heineken at Alpine Bar and live music at Lounge Bar, the iconic Thredbo après scene was thriving all weekend… Hello Winter 2023!
