Gravity Season Is Back!
Despite a wild lead-up of late-season snowfalls and wet weather, Thredbo MTB Park opened for summer with an electric atmosphere and over 550 riders hitting the trails on day one.
Season pass holders were out in force, kicking things off with high stoke and big energy for the summer of riding ahead.
And how could we not mention the Moi Moi Mega Train taking over the trails on Saturday…

Prime Trail Conditions to Start the Season
Heavy rain in the days before opening turned out to be a blessing, creating unbelievably tacky conditions across the network.

Thanks to the hard work of the trail crew, most of Thredbo’s signature trails opened right on time, giving riders plenty to choose from despite the unseasonal snowfall.

The new link-up on everyone’s radar – Wombat Walk into Bobshred – became the unofficial hot lap of the weekend, especially for the groms who lapped it relentlessly from first chair to last.

Although the weather rolled in – the purists were out in full force, and all are looking forward to wait this rainfall means for trail conditions heading into Thredbo’s holiday period!
Beyond The Park
We can’t let the MTB Park get all the attention – our avid hike enthusiasts were also out and about over the weekend and weren’t going to let the rainfall dampen the mood.
With Alpine Hiking Season officially underway, we can’t wait to set out to explore our world class hikes. Whether it’s heading out for a solo adventure to the summit, or joining on a guided hike to experience the magic of the Aries Tor at sunset – we’ve got hikes for every type of adventurer.

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
