Another Year Named Australia’s Best Ski Resort | A Heartfelt Thank You from Thredbo!

We are so humbled and grateful after what was an unforgettable season in Thredbo, to be once again named Australia’s Best Ski Resort for our ninth consecutive year at the World Ski Awards!
And that’s not all… families across the country also voted for Thredbo as Australia’s Best Ski Resort for Families at the 2025 Out & About with Kids Readers’ Choice Awards for the eighth consecutive year.
Last but certainly not least, we were named Best Australian Ski Resort at the Snowsports Industries of Australia Awards for the fourth straight year!
Our General Manager, Stuart Diver, says the acknowledgements speak to the collective effort behind the scenes:
“We are so honoured to receive these accolades after such an incredible season in 2025. These recognitions are a testament to the dedication of our team and the loyalty of our guests, who motivate us to keep raising the bar year after year.”

A Winter That Set A New Benchmark
Winter 2025 was one of our most exciting seasons yet. We hosted a record number of on-snow events – from free family-friendly activities to FIS-sanctioned competitions featuring some of the world’s best athletes.

Our village was buzzing day and night, especially with the Southern Hemisphere’s largest free live winter music series bringing unforgettable energy to every weekend.
We also took a major step forward in snowmaking. This year, we introduced cutting-edge Demac Lenko SnowPRO 2026 technology on Friday Flat. Capable of producing up to 260m³ of snow per day, even in temperatures up to 20°C, it helped us maintain stronger, more reliable beginner terrain all season long. And we’re excited to see the full benefits come to life in winter 2026.
