What’s that saying again… time flies when you’re having a bumper season? Yep, that must be it – because August is already here!
The good times just keep rolling in Thredbo and with conditions like these, there’s no denying August is looking GOOD.
This season so far, we’ve already seen 195cm of natural snowfall in the resort, and with the Spencers Creek natural snow depth currently sitting at 115.9cm as of July 20 there’s plenty of fun to be had.
August Of Après
We simply couldn’t talk about August in Thredbo without addressing the elephant in the room: Après Club!
The village is set to come ALIVE every Saturday night this month with huge acts hitting the Alpine Bar.

Battle On The Bluff
When it comes to iconic Australian freeride competitions, you can’t look past Thredbo’s Battle On The Bluff. Presented by Flip Insurance, Battle On The Bluff boasts both unreal terrain and a jaw-dropping prize pool. Going down on the 11 August, this is one you don’t want to miss! Transfer Banked Slalom
Going down on the 15th of August, the 11th annual Transfer Banked Slalom is back and it’s shaping up to be bigger, better and faster than ever. This event isn’t just a race, it’s a celebration of snowboarding in all its forms. From groms as young as seven to Olympic heavyweights, the Transfer Banked Slalom brings together generations of riders to battle it out on a fresh course that’s teeming with turns. Thredbo Triple Crown: Big Air
After great success with the first two instalments, we can’t wait to witness the talent at the final round of the Thredbo Triple Crown presented by Boost Mobile. The Big Air will take centre stage on the Q5 jump in Antons Terrain Park where athletes will go all in for glory. New this season, we’ve teamed up with Snow Australia to officially sanction this event as FIS competitions – meaning it’s included in the prestigious Australia New Zealand Cup Series! MOOKi’s Mini Pipe Cup
The MOOKi’s Mini Pipe Cup, presented by 4 x World Champion and Thredbo ambassador Scotty James, is set to return to the slopes of Thredbo Resort on Saturday, 23 August 2025. This isn’t just any comp – it’s a high-energy, jam-style halfpipe showdown designed to build skills, boost confidence, and bring young riders together in a fun and inclusive environment.
