🎉 MOOKi’s Mini Pipe Cup Returns to Thredbo | Ride with Scotty James This August! 🏂

The countdown is ON! One of Australia’s most exciting junior snowboarding events is back for 2025 and we can’t WAIT!

The MOOKi’s Mini Pipe Cup, presented by 4 x World Champion and Thredbo ambassador Scotty James, is set to return to the slopes of Thredbo Resort on Saturday, 23 August 2025.

This isn’t just any comp – it’s a high-energy, jam-style halfpipe showdown designed to build skills, boost confidence, and bring young riders together in a fun and inclusive environment.

Built By Scotty – Made For Groms

The event takes place in the MOOKi’s Mini Pipe – Australia’s only 13-foot halfpipe, made possible by Scotty’s own donation of a mini pipe cutter in 2024. Since then, it’s become a game-changing space for the next generation of Aussie shredders to learn, push themselves, and dream big.

Kick Things Off With A Q&A With Scotty James!

The stoke starts the night before with a Q&A session hosted by Scotty James himself on Friday, 22 August from 4:00 – 6:00 pm in the Kosciuszko Room. Young riders and families will have the chance to meet Scotty, ask questions, and get inspired before taking to the pipe the next day.

What’s Happening On The Day?

The action heats up on Saturday, 23 August, kicking off with a warm welcome and T-shirt collection at 9:45 am. From there, it’s time to ride – with two jam sessions in the mini pipe separated by a BBQ lunch at the top of the course.

Expect plenty of spot prizes throughout the day, from Best Trick and Highest Air to Best Handplant and even Best Crash – because in the pipe, style and stoke count just as much as skill!

The event wraps up with a presentation and awards ceremony, where all participants walk away with a limited-edition T-shirt and a heap of great memories.

MOOKi’s Mission Grant

At the heart of the Mini Pipe Cup is MOOKi’s mission: to support young talent with passion, determination, and love for the sport. That’s why two standout riders (one boy and one girl) will be awarded the MOOKi’s Mission Grant, which includes a halfpipe scholarship and a 2026 Thredbo Season Pass.

These awards aren’t just about performance – they celebrate effort, dedication, and spirit.
