First Turns For Winter 2026

As the sun rose on a gorgeous blue bird day on Saturday, the hard work of our grooming and snowmaking team was revealed! The news quickly began to spread that the Easy Does It Chairlift would be spinning for day one of Winter 2026, and the excitement was in the air.

And, no surprises one of the first to fly down Friday Flat was our first 50 day Legend Of The Mountain from last season, Kevin!
A Buzzing Village
In true Opening Weekend fashion, the Thredbo Village came alive with entertainment and activities everywhere you turned!

Thanks to AG1 free samples, guests had every chance to make sure they were putting their best foot forward to make the most of their day!

With roaming entertainment all weekend long, there was never a dull moment!

For those after a spot of retail therapy, guests were in for a treat with plenty of fresh new shopping spots to browse!
Endless Family Fun
For families, it was non-stop fun all weekend long!

Thredbo icons Extreme Rat and Josie Baff were spotted on the Keller Green signing posters and giving out high fives.

There were colours everywhere with free facepainting as popular as ever!
The Return of Après Club
And perhaps the highlight of the weekend, the Après Club light turned back on at the Alpine Bar and the dance floor went off thanks to SHOUSE presented by Balter.

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
