Big Berms, Head-To-Head Battles & Sunshine: Day Three at Cannonball MTB Festival
Posted on 13 Feb, 2026
If day three of Cannonball MTB Festival presented by Boost Mobile proved anything, it’s that the momentum is well and truly building in Thredbo.

With hero dirt conditions and sunshine overhead, more than 400 riders dropped into the Fox Flow Motion Cup for a fast, flowing midweek showdown.

Known for its sweeping berms and high-speed rhythm sections, Flow Motion is a rider favourite for good reason – it rewards skill, flow and commitment, no matter your discipline.

Flying the Thredbo flag high, MTB instructor Daniel Scobie claimed the Pro Men’s win in style, with Ryan Gilchrist and Thomas Locke rounding out the podium. In the Pro Women’s field, Zana Evans took top honours, followed by Sian A’Hern in second and Elleni Turkovic in third.

As the afternoon rolled on, the energy shifted to Friday Flat for the Maxxis Dual Slalom… and the vibe was next level.

This year’s course came with a full revamp, featuring brand-new features and a mid-course wall ride that pushed riders as they went bar-to-bar in tight, head-to-head racing. Spectators lined the course under the afternoon sun, while the Boost Mobile snowcat-turned-DJ deck pumped tunes from the centre of the action.

The result? Neck-and-neck battles, dramatic finishes and a whole lot of noise from the crowd.

With more racing still to come, Cannonball is only ramping up. From high-speed flow to bar-to-bar intensity, Thredbo is delivering world-class competition wrapped in pure festival atmosphere – and we’re only just getting started.
