Kareela Hutte 2026: A Season To Remember
Posted on 1 Sep, 2026 in On the Slopes
As the doors close on the Snowy Mountains most iconic venue, it’s time to look back on a standout season at Kareela Hutte.

From cosy Kareela Snowcat Dinners and vibey Kareela Supper clubs, plus daily long lunches, pride celebrations and deck sessions, Kareela has once again been the heart of Thredbo’s dining scene.
First Of Its Kind: Kareela Hutte x St Hugo Wines
New this year, Kareela levelled up with a first of its kind partnership with St Hugo wines. The collaboration brought together Thredbo’s most iconic dining experience with one of Australia’s most celebrated wine labels, and the result was something truly special.

St Hugo took the Kareela Snowcat Dinners to a new level of luxury. The already crowd favourite experience saw guests ride in a snowcat under the stars to Kareela Hutte after dark, and enjoy a delicious meal paired with some of the best wines the Barossa Valley has to offer.

Kareela Deck Sessions ft St Hugo Wines
The partnership wasn’t just about fine dining. Over a weekend in August, St Hugo brought the energy over to Kareela deck, taking over the space with a custom DJ deck set up. What’s usually a place for après drinks and mountain views turned into an all out party – one we will never forget!

It was the perfect example of what makes Kareela special: a venue that can move effortlessly from an intimate, elevated dining experience to a full scale mountain celebration, all in the same season.

So until we meet again Kareela, thanks for all the memories!

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
