This Is September
According to our trusty 2025 snow report, spring in Thredbo 2025 kicked off with a whopping 220.4cm snow depth at Spencers Creek. This, combined with some early spring snowmaking efforts, set the stage for an unreal end to an incredible season.

On the 2nd of February, Thredbo woke up to some seriously huge news from our grooming team: Funnel Web had been groomed from top to bottom, a major accomplishment for any day of the season, let alone the second day of spring!

The good times just kept on rolling, with plenty of events bringing the action on and off the snow! A highlight, was our Mini Pipe Mayhem session, complete with an appearance from the king of the pipe himself, Scotty James!

Spring isn’t just about sunshine – you can also expect some late season snowfall like we had in the middle of September to spice things up a bit.

And we wouldn’t be doing spring justice if we didn’t talk about how much the Thredbo animals love it too. Spring on the slopes in Australia means sharing the mountain with the natives, like Eric the echidna here!

Of course there’s also the real highlight of spring time shenanigans in Thredbo like the iconic Pond Skim, a little treat for those keen to see out the season to the bitter end!
So, if you’re a fan of savings, spring sunshine, and late season storm chasing, it’s time to consider a trip to Thredbo in September – you won’t regret it!
