Summer is here! Don’t let the warm days and blue skies trick you into not packing that waterproof layer. Afternoon storms have been a theme this week, the temperature drops and over the range arrives the weather.
The first week of hiking season has treated us to fantastic clear skies and seasonal blooms. There is no better time to get out there!
Summer is upon us and it’s time to left foot, right foot around the mountains! All tracks in the Thredbo area are clear of snow. The days are getting warmer and we couldn’t be more excited to see the wildflowers have their moment in the spotlight!
Remember where you put those boots? Thredbo hiking season officially opens on 21 November and with these beautiful spring conditions, it’s a great time to get out there. The track to Mt Kosciuszko and Dead Horse Gap are now open! Experience the daily changing alpine for yourself…

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
