Your First Lesson at Friday Flat

  • Who's It For
    Created for complete beginners with no previous ski or snowboard experience. Whether you’re on your own or with friends, your group will be guided by your instructor at a safe and comfortable pace.

Collect Your Pass & Equipment

Collect your MyThredbo Card from a 24/7 kiosk at Friday Flat or Valley Terminal in Thredbo.

Booked rental equipment?
Pick it up from Thredbo Rental Friday Flat, on your way to the lesson meeting area. To avoid queues, pick up your gear from 3pm the afternoon before your rental begins.

Allow enough time
When collecting a MyThredbo Card, purchasing a lift pass or collecting rental equipment on the day, allow at least one hour before your lesson meeting time.

During weekends, school holidays and peak periods, wait times may reach 45 minutes.

What To Bring

Bring:

  • Skis and poles, or a snowboard and bindings
  • Ski or snowboard boots
  • Your MyThredbo Card
  • Helmets
  • Waterproof, insulated jacket and pants
  • Gloves and goggles
  • A neck warmer (doubles as a face covering)

Certified snowsports helmets are mandatory for all lesson participants. Jacket and pant rental is available.
