Winter School Groups

Student Lift & Lesson Product: 

Thredbo offers School Groups a lift and lesson school group product, which includes: 

• Lift pass, with duration options between 1-Day to 5-Days (Monday to Friday only)   
• Mandatory morning school group lesson: 4 hours at 8:30am or 2 hours at either 8:30am or 10:30am 
• Mandatory 2 hours afternoon lesson on Day 1 for all school lift and lesson products (start 1:30pm)  

Schools can elect to add-on additional products:  

• Additional afternoon school group lessons from Day 2 onwards: 2 hours duration (1.30pm-3:30pm)  
• Equipment or Clothing Rental: Ski or Snowboard equipment (helmet incl.) or Jacket and Pant 
  • On-site equipment storage available when renting through Thredbo Groups 
• Goggle only, Glove only or Goggle & Glove purchase packs (unable to be rented)  
• Lunch: hot meal and drink with a 50 minute booking in a designated area (located – Friday Flat Bistro) 
• Thredbo Leisure Centre: access to the Sports Hall or Pool/Slide (Mission Inflatable available as pool add-on) 
• Thredbo Alpine Coaster: 1 x ride per day (note: this is not an exclusive booking)

Teacher Lift & Lesson Product:  

Thredbo offers School Group Teachers a lift product, receiving 2 teachers free for every 10 paying students:  

• Lift pass duration matches student product duration  
• Teachers/Supervisors with School Groups can attend student lessons:  
  • This attendance is in a shadow capacity, with no instruction provided to the teacher/supervisor  
  • Teachers/supervisors are required to be above the ability of the group they are shadowing 

Teachers/Supervisors can elect to add-on an adult lessons:  

• Adult lessons: 2 hours duration (starting either 9:15am or 11:20am)  
• Please note this is a separate lesson, at a different time and meeting location to the student lesson  
• Due to different start times between adult and student lessons, teachers/supervisors may need to leave the adult lesson early to resume supervision at the conclusion of the student’s lesson

Student Resort Activity Day:

The below options are aimed at Day tripper School Groups looking for alternative activities to the Skiing/Snowboarding program or for schools who book the Skiing/Snowboarding program and want an additional resort activity only morning/day. 1 Day activities can be selected from:

• Gondola Scenic Lift (access at either 9am-12pm or 12pm-3pm)
• Alpine Coaster Rides (not an exclusive booking)
• Thredbo Leisure Centre (sports hall or pool/slide access)
• Lunch (50 minute booking at Friday Flat Bistro)
• Clothing Rental (insulated jacket and pant)
• Disc Golf Rental

Please Note: For your safety and the safety of others, non-skiing/snowboarding guests must remain clear of all marked ski runs.

Winter 2026 Group Booking Terms and Conditions

Student Numbers & Ability Levels:   

Thredbo wants your school group to get the most out of their time on snow.

• Student numbers per discipline (ski or snowboard) are required in the booking request form to accurately allocate lesson times based on instructor numbers (endeavoring to be within the 1:10 ratio).
• Lesson class allocation is based on student’s allocated discipline and ability level, as nominated in the student and teacher data form, with these lesson classes provided to schools. 
• There may need to be a split-ability levels within the same lesson dependent on the number of students per discipline (opting to ski or snowboard)

Lesson Non-Compliance: 

Non-compliance in lesson participation, including the Day 1 mandatory afternoon lesson will result in the restriction of lift access for the duration of lessons, or an extended period determined by Thredbo.

• Please note by booking through Thredbo Groups you are agreeing to our Group Booking Terms and Conditions and any additional terms and conditions on behalf of all participants in your group.

Booking Request Form – Now Open!

Winter Bookings (requests must be received by Thredbo Groups no later than 3 weeks prior to the arrival date):

• School Group packages are available from 8 June 2026 until 2 October 2026 (Monday to Friday only).
  • Black out dates apply:
    • Monday 6 July 2026 to Friday 17 July 2026 (school holidays)  
    • Saturday & Sunday throughout the 2026 winter season
• Minimum numbers required for group bookings –
  • 20 Paying Students per booking for School Group package

Please Note: On confirmation of your booking request a $200.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking.

2 weeks prior to arrival, full group details are required via the provide Student and Teacher data form

• Any changes to final numbers will be reviewed and subject to availability (including increase in numbers or change to discipline splits)
• This data will be used by Thredbo Snowsports to generate class lists based on student discipline and ability and provided prior to arrival

1 week prior to arrival, final payment is required

• Thredbo Groups will provide a Pre-Arrival information document to assist the group in making the most of their time in Thredbo
