Winter School Groups

Student Lift & Lesson Product: 

Thredbo offers School Groups a lift and morning lesson school group product, which includes: 

• Lift pass, with duration options between 1-Day to 5-Days (Monday to Friday only).   
• Mandatory morning school group lesson: 2hrs in duration (start time options 8:30am or 10:30am). 

Schools can elect to add-on additional products, as outlined below:  

• Additional afternoon school group lesson: 2hrs in duration (starting at 2pm).  
• Equipment or Clothing Rental: Ski or Snowboard equipment (helmet incl.) or Snow Jacket and Pant. 
• Google, Glove or Google & Glove packs: these items cannot be rented.  
• Lunch: hot meal with a 50min booking in a designated area (located at the Friday Flat Bistro). 
• Thredbo Leisure Centre: access to Pool or Sports Hall (Mission Inflatable available as pool add-on). 
• *NEW* Thredbo Alpine Coaster: 1 x ride per day. Alpine Coaster booking information to be released in early 2024. 

Teacher Lift & Lesson Product:  

Thredbo offers School Group Teachers a lift product, receiving 1 teacher free for every 10 paying students.  

• Lift pass duration matches student product duration.   
• Teachers/adult supervisors with School Groups can supervise student classes:
  • This is in a shadow capacity, with no instruction provided to the teacher/adult supervisor. 
  • Teachers/adult Supervisors must be above the ability of the group they are shadowing. 

 Teachers/adult Supervisors can elect to add-on an adult lesson:  

• Adult lessons: 2hrs in duration (starting either 9:15am or 11:20am).
  • Please note this is a separate class at a different time to the student lesson.  
• Due to different start times between adult and student lessons, teachers/adult supervisors will need to leave the adult lesson early to resume supervision at the conclusion of the student’s lesson. 

Student Ability Levels:   

We want your school group to get the most out of their snow time. Student numbers and discipline splits are required in advance to allow us to accurately allocate the required number of instructors (endeavoring to be within the 1:10 ratio). The ability level of every student is also required to be advised 2 weeks prior to arrival, so we can schedule and assign the relevant instructors.  

• There may need to be a range of levels within the same lesson dependent on the number of students opting to ski or snowboard.

Full School Group and additional Terms and Conditions will be provided closer to Winter 2025. Please note: by booking through Thredbo Groups you are agreeing to our Group Booking Terms and Conditions and any additional terms and conditions on behalf of all participants in your group.

Winter 2024 Rates

Winter Bookings:

• School Group packages are available from 9 June 2025 until 3 October 2025 (Monday to Friday only).
  • Black out dates apply:
    • Monday 30 June 2025 to Friday 18 July 2025 (school holidays)  
    • Saturday & Sunday throughout the 2025 winter season
• Minimum numbers required for group bookings –
  • 20 Paying Students per booking for School Group package
  • School groups receive 1 x teacher lift product free for every 10 paying students, provided the min 20 Students is met
• Group booking requests must be received by Thredbo Groups no later than 3 weeks prior to the arrival date

Please Note: On confirmation of your booking request a $200.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking.

2 weeks prior to arrival, full group details are required via the provide Student and Teacher data form

• Student/Teacher names and date of births
• Medication, food or drug allergies
• Rental Information (if required)
• In resort contact
• Any changes to final numbers will be reviewed and subject to availability (including increase in numbers or change to discipline splits)

1 week prior to arrival, final payment is required

• Thredbo Groups will provide a Pre-Arrival information document to assist the group in making the most of their time in Thredbo
• The group’s in-resort contacts are required to read this information prior to arrival
