Celebrate the good life this weekend at Taste of the Snowies: Thredbo Food and Wine Festival. From 6 – 8 March we’ve stocked our shelves with a stacked schedule of culinary delights including tastings from local businesses, degustation events, live entertainment and more.
Start your weekend of great food and wine with a swirl, sniff and sip on Friday March 6 at the Len Evans Memorial Mystery Wine Night in Lounge Bar. For just $50 enjoy five mystery wines with nibbles and awesome prizes up for grabs.
On Saturday 7 March head to the free Sip and Stretch Wildbrumby Gin Yoga at 8 AM in the Townsend Room for a yoga class with a lemon twist. Sip local company Wildbrumby Gin as you find your zen and and prepare for a day of wine, food and entertainment!
Local produce then takes centre stage from 12 PM at the Taste of the Snowies Market. For only $25 grab a 10 token tasting pack and limited edition festival cup and enjoy tasty morsels from Crackenback Farm, Bodalla Dairy, Canberra Coffee Company, Eucumbene Trout Farm, Central Road and more. Your cup definitely won’t be empty with tastings available from wineries, distilleries and breweries including Shut the Gate, Collector Wines, Bunnamagoo Estate Wines, Jindabyne Brewing and Wildbrumby Distillery. From 6PM head to the Local Pub to continue the fun with DJ beats on the deck. Better yet, we’ve got you covered with free shuttle buses from Jindabyne – call (02) 6459 4200 to book.
All weekend long local venues will also be hosting a range of stand-out culinary events. Unmissable highlights include the Collector Winemakers Dinner hosted by award winning winemaker Alex McKay, the Wildbrumby Degustation Dinner featuring five paired cocktails from local business Wildbrumby Distillery, and a whirlwind tour of local Thredbo venues on the famous Progressive Dinner.
