Cannonball MTB Festival Day 1 | Practice Day Was ON!

It was the first day of Australia’s biggest mountain bike festival, and while it was only for practice, the level of skill and talent witnessed on the tracks set the tone for one huge week of Cannonball action. Riders from the pros to amateurs took to Thredbo’s Mountain Bike Park today to get in a few more training laps before the events kick off tomorrow.

Enduro Champion, Tim Eaton was one of the many pros seen out on the mountain carefully planning his lines in preparation for the Osprey All-Mountain Assault tomorrow. Josh Carlson was also out there, practising not only for the traditional downhill events but also for the E-Bike categories. Other pro riders who were getting in some last-minute practice laps included Sian A’Hern, Josh Arcus, Teagan Molloy, Jackson Frew plus more.

Over at the Pump Track, local mountain biking family Brock, Kym and 10-year old Reid Armstrong were building up their stamina prior to a big week ahead. All members of the rockstar family are signed up for all of the events across the week, from the Pump Track Challenge to the iconic Downhill.
