We have well and truly entered the eye of the snowstorm, experiencing non-stop snowfall all day yesterday with more expected to keep coming down today.

This storm’s total snowfall so far is 48cm and it isn’t showing signs of slowing down anytime soon with another 10cm forecast to fall by tomorrow morning. Skiers and snowboarders enjoyed riding fresh tracks all day yesterday as mother nature refreshed the snow by the time people got back up the chairlift and today is shaping up to be a similar story!

The village is now covered in over 15cm of snow, creating a magical snow globe feeling in the resort. The best news is, the storm isn’t even finished yet with experts saying that the snow is set to continue falling today before blue skies this week and then another possible storm rolling through next weekend.

The fresh snow comes mid-school holidays, providing exciting snow conditions for another big week of family fun ahead. In addition to Australia’s Best Skiing And Snowboarding, Thredbo offers non-stop free events, activities and entertainment for families during school holidays as part of its famous Kids Snow Festival.

Who’s excited to get out there to enjoy the fresh snow and sunny skies this week? Thank you Mother Nature.
