Chase Summer With Us: Thredbo MTB Jobs Open Now!
Posted on 4 Sep, 2026
When the snow melts, Thredbo doesn’t slow down, it changes gear. Australia’s only alpine gondola keeps spinning, the lifts keep running, and the mountain turns into one of the country’s best lift-accessed MTB parks.
And right now, we’re building the crew to run it.

Whether you’re happiest with a chainsaw in hand shaping the next berm, wrenching on bikes in the workshop, or leading guests down their first blue trail, there’s a role here for you. Here’s what’s on offer…
Trail Crew
If you’d rather be outside shaping dirt than sitting behind a desk, this is the one. The MTB Trail Crew designs, builds and maintains the trails that make Thredbo Australia’s premier MTB destination.

MTB Retail & Rental Assistant
The MTB Retail & Rental Assistant is the first friendly face guests meet before they hit the trails. You’ll match riders with the right bike and gear for their ride, and help them make the most of their day on the mountain. If you love people, energy and being part of the action, this is your crew.
Mountain Bike Mechanic
Bikes take a beating on Thredbo’s terrain, and the MTB Mechanic team keeps them rolling with expert servicing and advice. It’s hands-on, technical work at the centre of the action, ideal if you know your way around a workshop and want to spend your season around bikes.

Looking to lead a workshop rather than just work in one? The MTB Head Mechanic role is also open, running the workshop at optimal levels while delivering top-tier guest service.
Mountain Bike Instructor
Got the skills and the patience to bring someone else along for the ride? The MTB Instructor role is about more than technique. You’ll greet every guest with genuine warmth, get across Thredbo’s full range of summer activities, and help riders of every level, from first-timers to advanced, get the most out of their day.

Bike Patrol
Every great MTB park needs a strong safety net, and that’s Bike Patrol. You’ll provide advanced first aid and stabilisation for injured guests across MTB and hiking incidents, coordinate transport to the Thredbo Medical Centre, and represent the mountain’s guest service standards at every turn. It’s a role for people who stay calm under pressure and genuinely care about others.

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
