It’s Begun, July Is Here and So Is Winter
Posted on 2 Jul, 2026
Our eyes have been on the forecast all week – and the storm we’ve all been waiting for decided to surprise us all and arrive a day early.

We woke up this morning with 4cms up high, and a lingering storm promising to deliver plenty more over the next few days.
Thursday July 2
With wild wintry weather rolling through the resort, we woke up to some mixed conditions – but nonetheless conditions we love to see!

Snow began to fall up high in the early hours of Thursday morning, a sight we weren’t expecting to see until Friday, with wetter conditions across the lower slopes.
Looking Ahead
No matter what forecast model you use as your winter weapon of choice – things are looking pretty promising over the next few days!
Temps forecast to drop further overnight Thursday night as the storm settles in, and stay low all day Friday as it lingers. This will hopefully see snow settle in down to the lower slopes before the storm begins to clear up Saturday, with some models calling for storm totals of up to 35cms!
If there’s anything winter has taught us it’s that the forecast can always throw us a curve ball, but we promise to keep you updated on terrain and and snowfall announcements as soon as possible!

In the meantime, keep an eye on the cams and keep doing your snow dance… looks like it’s finally starting to work!
