Daily Activities At Friday Flat
We’ve expanded our Friday Flat activities offering to help families make the most of every day in Thredbo, so keep scrolling to see what’s on from 2pm-5pm everyday at Friday Flat.
Lindt Chocolate S’mores, Fairy Floss & Popcorn
Back by popular demand, Lindt Sāmores are returning to Friday Flat!
Gather around the fire pits and enjoy the delicious tradition of toasted sāmores, elevated with a signature Lindt Chocolate twist. Plus, keep the sweet treats coming with fresh popcorn and fairy floss available throughout the afternoon.
Because every winter adventure deserves a little indulgence, Lindt Sāmores, popcorn and fairy floss will be available daily from 1pmā4pm at the Friday Flat fire pits. Delicious!

Thredboland Animals
Keep an eye out on Friday Flat for your chance to meet some of Thredbo’s biggest icons – the Thredboland animals!

Arts & Crafts + Giant Games In The Mountains!
The fun starts at Friday Flat, where families can enjoy a range of free activities and entertainment throughout the day.
For those looking to venture a little higher, take a ride on the Merritts Gondola to Merritts Mountain Haus and discover plenty to keep small hands busy. With free arts and crafts and giant games like Connect Four and Corn Hole, the little ones can play while the big kids kick back and relax with a drink on the Merritts Deck.

World Cup Soccer Pitch At Friday Flat
World Cup fever has officially landed at Thredbo – and what better way to curb some of our cravings than a mini soccer pitch on Friday Flat.
Practice your strikes against your mates at Friday Flat between laps, or ditch the ski boots and really get into it.
Face Painting
We’re not sure what kids love more… face painting, s’mores, popcorn, or fairy floss? Good thing they don’t have to choose because as of June 25 they are all on offer at Friday Flat from 2pm-5pm!

Snow & Tell
Ever wanted to see know how a snowcat works or sit on a snow mobile? Now is your chance! Join a member of our grooming team at the bottom of Gunbarrel chairlift each afternoon for an insight into all things snow mechanics!
Live Music
With an acoustic artist on from Thursday-Sunday and a DJ on Monday-Wednesday at Friday Flat, the vibes are going to be at an all-time high.

Free Movie Night In The Kosciuszko Room
There’s nothing quite like a cosy movie night to top off an incredible winter day in Thredbo, and starting Monday 29th of June – we’re throwing them daily (except Wednesday & Sunday) in the Kosciuszko Room!
From 3:30pm-7:30pm, you’re invited to get the fam together and join us in the Kosciuszko Room for a family friendly movie.

Socceroos Watch Party At The Alpine Bar
Don your best green and gold outfit, and head to the Alpine Bar to cheer on our mighty Soccerroos as they take on Paraguay in the world cup. Bar opens at 11:40am, and kick off is at 12pm – don’t miss it!

Saturday Family Sessions & Fireworks
As the sun sets, the Thredbo Village comes alive with a magical evening for the whole family. Kicking off every Saturday of the School Holidays from July 4, make some lasting family memories with s’mores, dancing, live music and fireworks at the Alpine Bar!

Thursday Night Family Flare Run & Fireworks Returns
Yep, that’s right… the iconic Thursday Night Family Flare Run & Fireworks is BACK. Experience the thrill of skiing and snowboarding under the night sky on Friday Flat, illuminated by your own twinkling LED flare – then once you’ve reached the bottom, a spectacular fireworks display will light up the sky!
With parents invited to join the flare run, this is an unforgettable night for the whole family… and best of all, it’s FREE.

Merritts Mountain Haus Feast
Grab the whole family for a ride under the stars in Australia’s only Alpine Gondola to Merritts Mountain Haus to enjoy a family friendly Bavarian-inspired feast!

The experience includes return Merritts Gondola ride, and the ride down is an unforgettable one with views of the Thredbo Village lights below.
Alpine Coaster Thrills
Calling all thrill seekers! Come and ride the Southern Hemisphere’s only Alpine Coaster in Thredbo.
Whipping through the snow gums on 1.5km of track, the Alpine Coaster is a must-do experience for anyone visiting Thredbo.

Nothing says winter escape quite like an indulgent hot chocolate, and nothing beats a hot chocolate at Australia’s highest restaurant – Eagles Nest!
Take a scenic ride on the Kosciuszko Chairlift and take in the views of the gorgeous Thredbo Valley before popping in to Eagles Nest for one of their famous hot chocolates.

Thredbo Leisure Centre
Open daily from 6am-6:30pm, extending to 8pm as of June 29, the Thredbo Leisure Centre is the perfect spot for families looking to burn a little extra energy!
With an Olympic sized swimming pool, waterslide, sports hall, squash courts and gym, there’s something on offer for everyone.

Astronomy Night
Join astronomers from Stromlo Observatory for a FREE session at the Schuss Bar on July 16 from 6:30pm-8pm.

Plus, if there’s a clear night sky, we will head outside for a look through a giant telescope and take full advantage of the minimal light pollution for a close up view of Jupiter and its moons!
