Big Adventures for Little Explorers!
The Kids Summer Adventure Festival combines all the best parts of outdoor recreation in the Snowy Mountains with a range of indoor activities to keep your kids occupied this summer. From treasure hunts, arts and crafts, biking, face painting and more, there is something for all ages.
Across the Christmas period, we’ve got lots of Christmas activities to get you ready for the arrival of the jolly big guy in red… you might even see him around the village!
Looking to keep things easy this Christmas? We’ve even got Christmas Day Lunch sorted for you and the family.
Returning this season is the Cruiser Mountain Bike area, the perfect spot for young riders and families to learn the basics of gravity mountain biking.
On top of all the Festival activities, you can enjoy the Alpine Coaster, the Kosciuszko Chairlift and Merritts Gondola – Australia’s only alpine gondola!

Thredbo Village Christmas Party

Everyone is invited to come celebrate at the Thredbo Village Christmas Party, with lots of Christmas themed activities to keep the kids happy, including Christmas crafts, gingerbread snowman decorating, glitter tattoos and face painting! Plus a visit from Santa!
Merritts Christmas Feast*

Merritts Mountain House
A truly special Christmas experience for the whole family! Ride the Gondola under the stars to Merritts Mountain House for an alpine-inspired, Aussie Christmas feast! Enjoy unforgettable views of a mountain sunset, while making lasting Christmas memories with family and friends! Bookings coming soon.

The Alpine Bar
As the sun sets, gather with friends and family at Thredbo's vibrant Alpine Bar to toast the New Year! Then, dance the night away with live music and lively celebrations as we countdown to 2026 under the stars.

Sports Days

Village Green
Enjoy a variety of sports on including soccer, cricket, and more...turn up for a quick game or stay all day and hone in your skills.

Face Painting

Alpine Coaster*

Valley Terminal
At 1.5km in length, from thrill-seekers to leisure cruisers, passengers will be able to control their speed of up to 40km/h as they travel along a mix of uphill and downhill tracks featuring a tunnel, bridges and circles that traverse the alpine environment.

Think you have what it takes to be a part of Thredbo’s Amazing Race? Take on the challenge! Your mission is to follow all the secret clues to find the hidden treasure! Find your first clue at the Thredbo Information Centre.
Bike Challenge

Head to the Info Centre, grab a location sheet and search out the four Mountain Bike trails listed. Collect a sticker at each trail head. Once you complete all four tracks head back the Info Centre to collect your prize!
Hike Challenge

Here’s an activity for the whole family! Start at the Thredbo Information Centre. Grab a location sheet, head to the four trail heads and collect a stamp. Once completed go back to the Thredbo Information Centre to collect your prize!
Nature Bingo

Grab a free Nature Bingo sheet from the Thredbo Information Centre and head on a walk or hike. Play with your family or friends and see who will find a row first. Once completed head back to the Thredbo Information Centre to collect your prize!

Thredbo has a range of fun outdoor games to play. From Connect Four, Jenga, Corn Hole and much more… Relax while the kids play or join in on the fun.

Be ready to enter into the world of acro-balancing and slack rope. It’s all about balance and belief that you can do it! Enjoy this fun new skill that everybody can learn.

Disc Golf Course
Thredbo’s disc golf course is nestled between bushland and surrounded by stunning mountain views. Disc golf is fun for all ages and abilities and is played much like traditional golf, the object is to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws. Book disc rental (including scorecards) in resort at Guest Services Valley Terminal*.

Join a scheduled Guided Hike with like-minded explorers and learn more about the iconic high country on the bucket list Mt Kosciuszko Summit Hike or Dead Horse Gap Hike. Private Hikes are also available on other days of the week.

Thredbo MTB offers daily clinics for young riders of all levels. If you are looking to tweak your mountain biking skills, gain confidence riding the mountain or after tips on trying something new then the Thredbo MTB instructors have a clinic for you.
