Flare run & night riding

One of Thredbo's finest traditions
Look to the skies and the Supertrail for one of Thredbo’s finest traditions, the flare run and fireworks display. It lights up the village on Saturday nights and it’s a sure fire way to kick start a night on the town.

For over 30 years visitors to Thredbo have enjoyed the weekly fireworks and flare run display and in 2007, 1,269 skiers and snowboarders took part in a flare run to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Thredbo landslide, smashing the Australian record for the biggest flare run.

A crowd favourite, it is a stunning sight not to be missed as skiers and boarders snake their way down the Supertrail with flaming flares. If you are an advanced rider, you can join in and be part of the spectacle by signing up on the day at the Valley Terminal lift pass office on Saturday afternoon.

PLEASE NOTE : The flare run on Saturday 10th September 2016 will be closed to members of the general public
